There is no minimum number of participants required for our tour. Our tour has a fixed departure time and will be conducted with a Turkish-speaking guide when the number of participants reaches 20 or more.
Guests holding a General (Red) Passport require a visa. A Multiple Entry / Multiple Schengen visa is needed.
Guests holding a Green Passport or Service Passport do not require a visa.
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the end date of your travel and must not be older than 10 years.
Obtaining currency in Euros before your trip will facilitate cash payments during your shopping.
For purchases of 100 Euros and above, you can request a tax refund form. After completing customs procedures at the last point of exit from the European Union, you can process your tax refund using this form.
There are no doctors or medical personnel on river cruise ships. In case of emergencies, the reception will promptly contact the nearest health facility to send medical teams to the ship. However, regarding any medical needs, our ship stops at locations closest to medical facilities to assist in urgently transferring ill guests to hospitals or other institutions. Additionally, we strongly recommend that you carry your regularly prescribed medications along with their prescriptions and obtain comprehensive travel health insurance.
Health services provided on board the ship and at healthcare facilities are chargeable.
We do not anticipate any issues with the meals served on the ship that would threaten your health. However, when you are off the ship, please exercise caution regarding food and drink: strictly consume bottled water, avoid ice, milk, and dairy products, eat only meat and fish that are thoroughly cooked, and choose fruits like bananas and pineapples that have peels which can be removed.
Since your journey may involve entering different countries, specific times will be indicated for each port visited by the ship. Please adjust your schedules accordingly for disembarking and boarding the ship based on the local time of the port you are in.
During the river cruise, especially when crossing country borders, your mobile phone network (if set up for international roaming) will be used. Signal loss may occur in some forested areas where there are no cell towers.
For the Captain's Welcome & Farewell Cocktail evenings during your trip, we recommend that male guests bring a suit and female guests bring an evening gown. If traveling during the summer season, we suggest bringing easily wearable t-shirts, short-sleeved and long-sleeved shirts, cotton trousers, shorts, comfortable walking shoes, a light jacket for the evenings, and a thin sweater. Additionally, you may bring a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, earplugs against potential noise, a camera, a video camera, and their chargers and spare memory cards. During the winter season, we recommend clothing that allows for easy movement and keeps you warm. The open areas of the ship can be cool during navigation regardless of the season.
Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are served in the main restaurant on board. Additionally, afternoon tea (5 o'clock tea) and light evening snacks are served in the lounge area on the upper deck.
The electrical sockets in the cabins are the same as those in Turkey.
Accommodations in hotels before or after our river cruise program may not meet the same standards as our river ship, nor should they be expected to provide the same services. During periods such as fairs, congresses, concerts, events, sports tournaments, etc., hotels may be located further than the specified kilometers. Triple rooms are assigned based on hotel availability; the third bed provided in such rooms may be smaller than standard beds. Triple rooms consist of one large bed and one extra bed. Since these extra beds are fold-away or sofa-bed types, participants booking triple rooms (including a third person and/or children) are deemed to have accepted the potential crowding and the type of bed in the room. Child discounts apply only to one child per two adults and within the age group specified in the pricing section.
SOME TECHNICAL INFORMATION ABOUT OUR RIVER TOURS;
The times specified in the program are obtained from Turkish Airlines and Viva Cruise company. Otto Cruise is not responsible for any changes that may occur in the schedule. Consequently, due to any schedule change, Otto Cruise may adjust the dates without altering the content of the program or the nature of the services provided.
The duration of tours at ports, the places to visit, and their order are determined by the operating company and may be subject to change or completely cancelled if necessary.
Otto Cruise will not be responsible for natural disasters such as rising or falling river water levels, or force majeure situations such as strikes in locks/canals or inability to dock at planned ports.
In such cases, Otto Cruise will not be responsible for out-of-program occurrences such as port changes or changes in arrival and departure times at ports.
During air travel, each passenger has the right to bring one piece of luggage into the cabin with dimensions of 36 cm (height) x 23 cm (width) x 56 cm (length). Additionally, each passenger has the right to check one suitcase weighing between 20 and 23 kilograms into the aircraft's baggage hold.
One of the evening meals during the river cruise is a formal dinner, and guests are expected to bring formal/evening attire for this night.
During check-in at the ship, each guest will hand over their passport and receive their cabin key. In some cases, passports may be collected for the ship manifest and local procedures. Passports will be returned on the same day.
Guests who wish to make expenses on board using credit cards must register their credit cards with the reception within 5 days of the start of the trip. No charges or specific amount blocks will be applied to your credit card during the registration process.
Strict adherence to the ship's departure times is required. You must board the ship at the latest 45 minutes before its departure time at the ports. Otherwise, you may not be allowed to board. Otto Cruise will not be responsible for such situations. Any transportation costs required for passengers who miss the plane or ship to rejoin the tour are borne by the passengers themselves.
It is strictly prohibited to bring alcoholic beverages, irons, hair dryers, water kettles, baby bottle warmers, electric blankets, or similar items onto the ship. Hair dryers are available in every cabin, and water kettles are available in many cabins.
At the beginning of our ship journey, luggage tags of specific colors will be assigned for your suitcases. Ensuring these tags are fully completed is extremely important for your luggage to reach your correct cabin.
Your suitcases may not arrive immediately in your cabin on the first day of the ship's departure. Therefore, it is advisable to pack your essential items for the first day of boarding the ship in a small handbag to carry with you.
To familiarize yourself with evacuation procedures in case of an emergency, a safety drill and presentation will be held on the first day of your trip. Participation is highly important. Your guides and the ship staff responsible for your room will direct you to the assembly point during the drill.
Every evening on board, a detailed program for the following day will be left in your cabin. This program includes all activities on the ship, information about entertainment events, and important notes.
We earnestly request that you take care of all your personal belongings throughout the tour. There is a safe in every cabin on the ship to store your valuables. Our agency assumes no responsibility for lost or stolen money and valuable items left in cabins or baggage. Support will be provided to arrange for found items to be sent to you via collect-on-delivery cargo service from the country where they were found.
