DAY 01: ISTANBUL AIRPORT - BARI – POLIGNANO A MARE – BARI
Enter through Gate 3 of Istanbul Airport, meeting our valued guests at 03:45 in front of the Turkish Airlines (THY) international counters (counters 1–27) for check-in procedures. We depart for Bari at 06:45 on THY flight TK1445. Upon arrival at Bari Karol Wojtyła Airport at 07:50 local time, we proceed to Bari city center with our private vehicle. Bari is one of Italy's 20 administrative regions and the capital of the Puglia region; it is a historic port city located on the coast of the Adriatic Sea. With a population of 1.3 million, it is the third-largest city in Southern Italy. During our panoramic tour of Bari, we will visit the Old Town (Vecchia Bari), the Basilica of San Nicola dedicated to Saint Nicholas of Myra (11th century), Teatro Petruzzelli (Europe's largest private opera house), Palazzo di Città (City Hall), Il Palazzo della Provincia (Provincial Government Building), and Lungomare di Bari (the harbor promenade).
After the tour, we head to Polignano a Mare. Known as the "Pearl of the Adriatic," Polignano is famous for its azure sea, pristine white houses, and natural beaches carved into the cliffs. It is a captivating town with poetic streets and breathtaking views. Additionally, it is the birthplace of Domenico Modugno, who became famous with the song "Volare."
Following the visit to Polignano, we return to our hotel in Bari. Overnight stay at our hotel.
DAY 02: ALBEROBELLO – MONOPOLI – BARI
After breakfast, we begin our full-day tour at the time previously specified by our guide. We head to Alberobello, which is listed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. In this town, famous for its traditional conical-roofed stone houses known as Trulli, we will take a walk through history. Trullo Sovrano and the Trulli Museum are among the places to visit.
After the tour, we move to Monopoli on the Adriatic coast. After a short walk and free time in Monopoli, a typical southern town characterized by its harbor, fishing boats, small squares, and colorful houses lined along the shore, we return to Bari. Overnight stay at our hotel.
DAY 03: MATERA – LECCE – BARI
After breakfast at the hotel, we begin our full-day tour. Our first stop is Matera. We take a walk through the Sassi district, protected by UNESCO, known for its houses carved into the rock and cave churches. Matera is one of the most impressive historical settlements in Southern Italy.
Next, we head to Lecce. Known as the "Florence of the South," Lecce features several notable sites including the Santa Croce Basilica, Sant'Oronzo Square, and an amphitheater from the Roman era, all viewed panoramically.
After the tour, we return to our hotel in Bari and spend the night there.
DAY 04: BARI – ISTANBUL AIRPORT
After breakfast at the hotel, rooms must be vacated, and we transfer to the airport at the time specified by our guide. Following ticket and baggage procedures, we depart for Istanbul at 08:50 on Turkish Airlines flight TK1446. We arrive in Istanbul at 12:00 local time, concluding our tour.
