Cruise ships can be likened to floating deluxe hotels equipped with the latest technology. You can follow the daily program outlining activities from the ship's newspaper distributed to your room the evening before each day. Think of this newspaper as a bulletin containing all information about what will happen on board that day, including all activities within the ship, weather forecasts, details about ports of call, contact information for reservations at specialty restaurants or spas, and more.
Upon boarding the ship, you must check in your luggage, submit your passport, and provide credit card details (a deposit may be required for potential expenses) at the check-in desk located at the ship's entrance. Your passport will be collected at the start of the journey and returned only upon its conclusion. After handing over your passport, the ship will issue you a Boarding Card. This card serves as both your passport substitute and cabin key, and is used for all transactions onboard. The Boarding Card displays various information such as your name, cabin number, and dining session times.
A dress code is enforced for passengers on cruise ships. Since special events like the Captain's Welcome Dinner and Gala Night are held aboard, we kindly request that you bring elegant and classic attire. You can track these events, including the Gala Night and Welcome Dinner, via the ship's newspaper provided at the beginning of the voyage. Additionally, the dress code is specified in the bulletin.
Cruise ships offer open buffet restaurants available 20 hours a day where you can eat at any time. In addition to breakfast, lunch, and dinner included in your fare at the main restaurant, there are fast-food outlets and buffets available. Specialty concept restaurants are also available onboard, such as Thai restaurants or steakhouses. Reservations can be made in advance to enjoy meals prepared by private chefs. Thematic restaurants are subject to an additional fee.
Cruise ships offer numerous facilities and activities for families with children. Onboard, there are children's pools and play clubs where kids can spend their time.
Cruise ships are designed by engineers to minimize motion during travel, and captains are specially trained. Smoking is prohibited in all indoor areas of the ship, including cabins. You may smoke on the open deck where no signs prohibit it and ashtrays are provided. Ships have doctors and nurses on board, and accessible cabins are available for guests with disabilities.
