“From the History of the East to Kars’ New Year Excitement”
On the first day of our tour, we meet two hours before our flight time at Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport to complete check-in and baggage procedures. After these procedures, we begin our journey towards the unique geography of Eastern Anatolia with Pegasus Airlines' 07:45 flight from Sabiha Gökçen to Erzurum. After our approximately two-hour flight, we arrive in Erzurum. Meeting our tour vehicle and guide waiting at the airport, we proceed to our restaurant for our breakfast (extra), prepared with local flavors. Following breakfast, we start our Erzurum city tour. Our first stop is the Erzurum Congress Building, one of Erzurum's historical symbols. This building, which holds great importance for our War of Independence history and the venue where the Erzurum Congress took place, sheds light on one of the turning points in our Republican history. Then, we visit the Çifte Minareli Medrese, bearing traces of the Anatolian Seljuk and Ilkhanate periods. With its magnificent crown gate and stone craftsmanship, this medrese, one of Erzurum's most important historical structures, allows us to closely discover the city's cultural heritage. We continue our tour with the Three Tombs (Üç Kümbetler), reflecting Erzurum's historical texture. These structures, considered among the most important monumental tombs of Anatolian Turkish architecture, attract attention with their elegant stone craftsmanship that has reached us from the past to the present. One of the most enjoyable breaks of our Erzurum tour is for the city's famous delicacy, Cağ Kebab (extra). By tasting the cağ kebab, cooked over wood fire and served on special skewers, we have the opportunity to get to know Erzurum cuisine up close. After our meal break, we move to the Rüstem Paşa Caravanserai – Taşhan, one of Erzurum's historical trade centers. During the free time given here, you can experience the historical atmosphere, examine Erzurum's world-famous Oltu Stone products, and guests who wish can go shopping. After our Erzurum city tour, we head towards Kars. During our journey, accompanied by the winter landscapes of Eastern Anatolia, we visit the Sarıkamış Martyrs' Cemetery, witnessing one of the saddest pages of our history. After our short visit, honoring our soldiers who lost their lives during the defense of the homeland with respect and gratitude, we continue our journey to Kars. Upon our arrival in Kars, we settle into our hotel and take a short rest break to relieve the day's fatigue. In the evening, we prepare to experience together the excitement of New Year's Eve. With guests who wish, we will go to our extra New Year's Night celebration. At the time specified by our guide, we leave our hotel and proceed to our local restaurant for our New Year's dinner, accompanied by Caucasian dances and local music. While tasting local delicacies within Kars' cultural atmosphere, we spend an entertaining night with traditional Caucasian dances and music specific to the region. On this special night when we will welcome the new year together, we wish all our guests a laughter-filled, cheerful, and unforgettable New Year's Eve. After the first hours of the new year, we return to our hotel and complete our overnight stay.

"Journey to Kars' History on the First Day of the New Year"
We begin the first day of the new year with a late breakfast at our hotel. After enjoying the tranquility of the early hours of the new year during our breakfast, we take a short rest break at the hotel and then head to the city center in the afternoon to explore Kars' historical and cultural fabric. Upon arriving in Kars city center, we first visit one of the city's most important historical structures, Kars Castle. Located on a high point of the city, the castle is not only one of the most significant structures witnessing Kars' history but also offers the opportunity to enjoy panoramic views of Kars. Next, we visit Hasan Harakani Tomb, one of Kars' spiritual symbols. The tomb of Hasan Harakani, who holds an important place in Kars' Islamization process, stands as a key stop for visitors wishing to feel the city's historical and spiritual atmosphere. Our tour continues with Kumbet Mosque, one of Kars' iconic structures. Known in historical sources as the Church of the Twelve Apostles, this building has been used for different purposes throughout various periods and now serves as a mosque. Then, we move to Taş Köprü (Stone Bridge), viewing this historical structure located over the Kars River and closely observing the city's traditional architecture. Subsequently, we visit the Church of the Twelve Apostles, one of the significant structures demonstrating that Kars has hosted various cultures throughout history. Reflecting Kars' multi-layered history, this building stands out as one of the most striking examples of the region's architectural heritage. During our city tour, we also visit Namık Kemal House, which holds an important place in our literary history. This historical structure, bearing traces of Namık Kemal's time in Kars, shows that the city has a significant past not only through wars and castles but also from a cultural and literary perspective. At noon, we take a break for an extra lunch to explore Kars' local cuisine. During this break, we have the opportunity to experience the region's unique culinary culture by tasting local dishes specific to Kars. Especially in winter months, we enjoy a pleasant lunch break with the warm and satisfying flavors of Kars cuisine. After our meal, we visit the Caucasus Front War History Museum, which sheds light on Kars' recent history. The museum narrates the developments during the Caucasus Front, the war conditions of that period, and the strategic importance of the region in our history, becoming one of the most meaningful stops of our tour. Following our museum visit, we are given a short free time in the city center. Guests who wish can walk through Kars' historic streets, examine local products, and do some shopping during this time. After completing the day's tours, we return to our hotel. We have dinner at our hotel and rest to relieve the day's fatigue. We spend the first night of the new year in Kars' tranquil atmosphere and conclude our accommodation.

"Journey into Kars' History on the First Day of the New Year"
We begin our tour's third day with breakfast at our hotel. After breakfast, in the first part of the day, we head towards Çıldır Lake, where fun and enjoyable moments await us. Upon reaching Çıldır Lake, which freezes in winter months and turns into a white fairy tale, if the weather and lake freezing conditions are suitable, we have the opportunity to experience the horse-drawn sleigh ride (extra) on the frozen lake. The pleasant journey on horse-drawn sledges across the frozen lake becomes one of the most memorable experiences of the region's winter atmosphere. Guests who wish can participate in the horse-drawn sleigh experience, while others can enjoy this unique landscape and the winter by walking around the lake. During our free time at Çıldır Lake, we take plenty of photos, and then we evaluate our lunch (extra) by experiencing local flavors near the lake. We enjoy the cold weather with warm dishes and drinks specific to the region. After our enjoyable and fun break at Çıldır Lake, we turn our route towards Ani Ruins, one of Kars' most important historical treasures. Located on the UNESCO World Heritage List, Ani is an exceptional historical city that developed as an important trade and cultural center during the Middle Ages, carrying traces of different civilizations to the present day. During our visit to Ani, known as the "City of 1001 Churches", we get to know up close its various significant structures that inspire admiration with their stonework and architecture. One of the first stops of our Ani tour is the Ani Cathedral (Great Cathedral / Fethiye Mosque). Recognized as one of the most important works of Armenian architecture, the cathedral appears before us as one of the most impressive structures reflecting Ani's glorious past. Then we see the Ebu'l Menuçehr Mosque. This structure, one of the important examples of early Turkish-Islam architecture in Anatolia, stands out as one of the strongest indicators that Ani was a city where different cultures and civilizations intersected. We continue our tour with the Tigran Honents St. Gregory Church. With its architectural details on the exterior facade and wall paintings inside, this church, one of the most striking structures of Ani, brings the art understanding of that period to the present day. Afterwards, we visit the St. Prkitch (Savior / Keçeli) Church. This historical church, located among Ani's important religious structures, carries significant traces about the city's past through the changes it underwent in different periods. Continuing our Ani tour, we see the ruins of the King Gagik Church. The ruins of the church, one of the important religious structures of its time, give us an idea about the grandeur Ani possessed in the past. Then we visit the Abughamrents (Poladoğlu) Church. With its unique architecture, this historical structure stands out as one of the most striking buildings of Ani and as an important part of the city's rich religious and cultural heritage. In the final part of our tour, we move to the Ani Walls and Middle Gate. The strong defensive walls surrounding the city and the historical entrance gates reveal Ani's strategic importance in the past. During the short free time given here, we take photos to immortalize this exceptional historical atmosphere. After our Ani tour, we begin our return journey to Kars. After a day filled with the historical structures we saw throughout the day and the unique winter landscapes of Çıldır Lake, we return to our hotel in Kars. After having our dinner at our hotel, we rest to relieve the day's fatigue and proceed with our overnight stay.
Important Note: The Çıldır Lake tour and the horse-drawn sleigh activity conducted on the lake are seasonal activities dependent on the lake's freezing condition. Therefore, the aforementioned tour and activity can only be carried out during winter months and when weather conditions are suitable. If the lake does not freeze to a sufficient level or if weather conditions are not suitable, the horse-drawn sleigh activity cannot be conducted.

"Journey into Kars' History on the First Day of the New Year"
We begin our tour's fourth day with breakfast at our hotel. After breakfast, we pack our belongings into our vehicle and embark on an enjoyable journey to explore the diverse landscapes of Eastern Anatolia. Our route leads us to Doğubayazıt, located at the foot of Mount Ararat and historically one of the key intersection points for major trade routes. Upon arriving in Doğubayazıt, our first stop is the Ishak Pasha Palace, one of the region's most magnificent historical structures. This building, considered one of the most impressive works of palace architecture in Eastern Anatolia, brings together traces of Ottoman, Seljuk, Baroque, and Rococo styles under one roof. Situated on a high hill, the palace offers us a close look at the grandeur of the past with its harem and selamlık sections, mosque, courtrooms, dungeons, and majestic courtyards. One of the striking features of Ishak Pasha Palace is its central heating system, which was considered highly advanced for its time. While admiring the panoramic view stretching over the Doğubayazıt Plain and the surrounding mountains from the palace's elevated position, we better understand why this structure was built at such a strategic location. After touring the palace, we descend to the city center of Doğubayazıt. Here, we take a break at a local restaurant for an extra lunch. Guests who wish can try Abdigör Köftesi, one of the special flavors of Eastern Anatolian cuisine. Following this enjoyable lunch break where we savor local dishes, we continue our program for shopping and cultural exploration.
In the area where we had lunch, we have the opportunity to get up close with rug and kilim weaving, one of the important handicrafts of Eastern culture. In the rug and kilim workshop, we learn how traditional motifs and colors are crafted and what stages handmade products go through. Guests who wish can examine the products in the workshop and engage in shopping for rugs, kilims, and handwoven items unique to the region. This visit allows us to not only appreciate the area's historical and natural beauty but also to closely experience traditional handicrafts passed down from generation to generation. Afterwards, we move to Doğubayazıt Bazaar. During the free time given here, you can examine region-specific products, browse souvenirs, and closely observe the daily commercial life of the area. After our bazaar tour, along the Iğdır route, we visit the Tuzluca Salt Cave (extra) with guests who wish to join. This cave, one of the region's natural treasures, stands out with its extensive salt beds and natural rock salt formations. During our tour inside the cave, we have the opportunity to observe the geological structure of the region up close and discover a different natural formation. Important Note: The Tuzluca Salt Cave tour is extra and will be conducted based on the participation of all guests. After our visit to Tuzluca, we head towards Kars. Through our journey across the high plateaus and volcanic mountains of Eastern Anatolia, we arrive in Kars in the evening. Upon arrival in Kars, we meet once again with Kars' local flavors. We visit a local product store where we can taste the handmade production of Kars cheese and the world-famous Kars gruyère, and where guests who wish can shop. Here, you can try various cheese types that are among the most important representatives of Kars' gastronomic culture and purchase local products as gifts for your loved ones. After our shopping break, we head to Kars Train Station.
The final part of our tour begins not with a classic hotel stay, but with one of Turkey's most special travel experiences: the Touristic Eastern Express. After completing our program in Kars, we move to Kars Train Station in the evening and settle into our train compartments.

For dinner, guests can utilize food and drinks they brought with them or obtain food and drinks additionally from the train restaurant. During our night-long Touristic Eastern Express journey, resting alongside the silence of Eastern Anatolia and the rhythm of the train, we enjoy one of the most pleasant experiences of our tour.
Our night journey towards Ankara begins with our train departing from Kars Train Station at 21:05. As we rest in our compartments to relieve the day's fatigue, we spend an unforgettable night within the train's unique atmosphere. Guests who wish can utilize food and drinks they brought with them or obtain food and drinks additionally from the train's dining car. Moving forward through the unique geography of Eastern Anatolia throughout the night, our train reaches İliç, our first long stop in the morning hours.

Our train arrives at İliç Station in the morning. Leaving our compartments on the train, we board the minibuses waiting for us at the station exit and begin our Kemaliye extra tour with our guide. Kemaliye, one of the hidden gems of Eastern Anatolia, is a special Anatolian settlement known for its impressive geography shaped by the Karasu River, a tributary of the Euphrates, its traditional stone houses, and historic streets. Historically known as Eğin, this district located among the mountains stands out as one of the region's most characteristic stops due to its natural beauty and unique architecture. During our visit to Kemaliye with our guide, we get to know the town's historical texture and traditional architecture up close; we learn about the historic Kemaliye houses, narrow streets, and the city fabric unique to the region. While exploring the cultural heritage that Kemaliye has carried from the past to the present, we have the opportunity to take plenty of photos in this unique landscape. After our tour, we offer guests a free breakfast break. Guests who wish can taste local specialties of Kemaliye, while others can enjoy their breakfasts and hot drinks before taking a short rest in the calm morning atmosphere. After our free time, we move back to İliç Station with our minibuses. Arriving at the station according to our train's departure time, we return to our compartments.

After arriving at Divriği Station around 10:40, we leave our compartments on the train and board the minibuses waiting for us at the station exit. With our guide, we begin our Divriği Great Mosque and Darüşşifası extra tour with interested guests. Divriği is one of Sivas's most important cultural stops, known for its historical heritage reaching from the Anatolian Seljuk period to the present and its unique architecture. Undoubtedly, the most important work of the district is the Divriği Great Mosque and Darüşşifası, which is listed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. After reaching the area where the historic structure is located with our minibuses, we begin our tour with our guide. The Divriği Great Mosque and Darüşşifası, built during the Mengücek Beylik period between 1228-1229, is considered one of the finest works of Turkish-Islam architecture in Anatolia. The most striking feature of the building is its stone craftsmanship. Especially the distinct and extremely detailed geometric and floral decorations found on the monumental main gates showcase the artistic understanding of the masters of that era. The fact that every detail has a different composition makes the building one of the most original works of Anatolian architecture. The Darüşşifa located right next to the Great Mosque appears as an important structure reflecting the health and social aid understanding of the period. While receiving information from our guide about the building's history, architectural features, and purpose of use in the past, we learn important details about the scientific, artistic, and architectural understanding of the Seljuk period. During our tour, we examine the monumental gates, stone decorations, and architectural details of the historic structure up close, giving us the opportunity to take plenty of photos. With our guide, we begin our Sivas city tour (extra) with interested guests. Sivas, one of the oldest settlement centers of Anatolia, has hosted various civilizations throughout history; especially during the Seljuk period, it became an important center for culture, trade, and education. The city also holds a very important place in terms of our National Struggle history. Moving to the city center with our minibuses, we begin our tour. Our first stop is the Atatürk Congress and Ethnography Museum, one of the most important structures in our Republican history. This historic structure, which hosted the Sivas Congress held in 1919, played an important role in shaping the National Struggle. We receive information from our guide about the historical importance of the Sivas Congress and the developments that occurred during the process leading to the Republic. Then, we move to the Çifte Minareli Medrese (Double Minaret Madrasa), one of the most important Seljuk works of Sivas. The building, known for its magnificent main gate and stone craftsmanship, appears as one of the works that best reflects the architectural heritage of the Seljuk period in Anatolia. While listening to the building's history and architectural features from our guide, we take a short journey into Sivas's Seljuk past. Continuing our tour, we provide free time in the city center. Interested guests can take a short walk in the historic markets of Sivas, examine local products, or explore the city's unique atmosphere. During our free time, we also offer an extra dinner option for interested guests. You can evaluate the last city stop of the day with a pleasant dinner by tasting flavors from Sivas's local cuisine. At the designated time, we move back to Sivas Station with our minibuses. Arriving at the station according to our train's departure time, we settle into our compartments.
With the departure of the Touristic Eastern Express from Sivas at 20:12, we leave behind our city tour and continue our night journey towards Ankara. Guests who did not choose dinner as part of our city tour can utilize the food and drinks they brought with them inside the train or obtain food and drinks additionally from the train restaurant car. Throughout the night, we continue our journey in the unique atmosphere of the train, thinking about the historical and cultural texture of Sivas we left behind during the day as we head towards Ankara. Note: The Sivas city tour, Atatürk Congress and Ethnography Museum, Çifte Minareli Medrese, and dinner are extras and participation is optional. With the resumption of our train's movement, our final night journey begins. After our trip enriched with stops in İliç, Divriği, and Sivas during the day, we rest in our compartments and head towards Ankara. Guests who want dinner can utilize the food and drinks they brought with them, or obtain food and drinks additionally from the train restaurant car. Throughout the night, we continue our journey in the unique atmosphere of the train and arrive in Ankara in the morning hours.

As we reach Ankara Station around 07:30 in the morning, our Touristic Eastern Express experience comes to an end. We conclude the finale of our tour, where we explored the historic cities of Eastern Anatolia, the enchanting winter landscapes, and the region's unique culture over four nights, in Ankara with one of Turkey's most special train journeys.
Important Transport Note: Our tour ends at Ankara Station. Guests continuing from Ankara to Istanbul, İzmir, or other cities must state their return transport requests when purchasing the tour. Intercity transport after Ankara is not included in the tour package and will be charged additionally depending on the transport conditions on the travel date.

- Air tickets are issued as round-trip together. If the outbound flight is not used, the return flight also becomes invalid due to the airlines' "sequential use" rule. Therefore, participation in only the return flight is not possible.
Museum – Archaeological Site – National Park Entries
All museum, archaeological site, and national park entry fees are borne by the guests. Guests can obtain a card from Muzekart sales points before or during the tour to benefit at museums and archaeological sites where the Muzekart is valid.

Our package tour prices include: hotel accommodation, transportation, and guided tours specified in the program.
Rest Stops
Rest stops are provided at rest facilities along the route. Changes may be made to rest stop locations due to congestion, renovation, or other compelling reasons, provided that the service quality and location are equivalent.
Extra Tours and Program Flow
Night tours and extra excursions included in the tour program are organized depending on the number of participants and the availability of staff. Extra tours conducted along the route may take place even if not all guests participate. Guests who do not wish to join an extra tour will be directed by our guide to rest areas before city entrances or to city centers. In this case, guests who agree to wait at the rest area are considered to have participated in the tour.
Due to weather conditions, road status, or similar reasons; if the guide deems it necessary, changes may be made to the program sequence (daily visit points or between days).
Go-Turkey cannot be held responsible for points included in the program but not visited due to compelling reasons (weather conditions, road status, congestion at visit points, etc.) or due to guests failing to adhere to the timing given by the guide.
Health Declaration
Guests must carry reports and information regarding any health issues they may experience during the tour, their pregnancy status, or medications they continuously use.
Accommodation Information
The hotel names specified in the program are priority accommodation facilities. Changes to hotels may be made depending on availability. At the latest 48 hours before the tour departure, upon request, accommodation information will be shared with guests. In case of hotel changes due to congestion or compelling reasons, provided that standards remain the same, guests will be informed by Go-Turkey authorities.

Suggestions
- Clothing and footwear suitable for the geographical structure and weather conditions of the tour region should be chosen.
- It is recommended to bring necessary charging equipment for photo and video shooting.
- Do not forget regularly used medications; allergic, chronic, or hereditary conditions should be reported to the guide.
- Personal care products, backpacks, and personal items that will make the journey enjoyable should be carried with you.
- In programs featuring boat tours and swimming breaks; bringing swimsuits, towels, sunscreen, and similar sea equipment is recommended.
