Day 2> DOHA Q HO CHI MINH CITY (SAIGON)-> CU CHI TUNNELS -> HO CHI MINH > Thursday, 22 April 2027 (B,L)
After landing in Ho Chi Minh City at 07:00 local time, we complete our ticket, baggage and passport procedures. We are met by our guide and private vehicle and begin our tour. Saigon, or Ho Chi Minh City, is the largest city in Vietnam. Besides being the bustling economic capital of the country and the center that sets its cultural trends, it also keeps alive the time-defying traditions of a deep-rooted culture. We travel about two hours to the famous Cu Chi Tunnels northwest of Ho Chi Minh City. At our first stop along the way, we visit a handicraft workshop. After spending some time walking around the workshop, we continue toward the Cu Chi Tunnels. Arriving in the area around midmorning, our guide shows us an introductory video before guiding us through the historical remains. During the visit, we have the chance to see various human traps, the remains of an American tank and numerous bomb craters. We then explore the labyrinth-like tunnels for about an hour and learn how the Viet Kong survived in this underground network. Afterwards, we return to Saigon for lunch, which we have at a local restaurant. We then begin our city tour, during which we will see the historical landmarks of Ho Chi Minh City. We see the red-brick, twin-towered Notre Dame Cathedral, built after the original structure in Paris, from the outside only. We then cross the square to the Central Post Office, designed by the French architect Gustave Eiffel. Our visit continues with the former Presidential Palace, the administrative center of the Ho Chi Minh City government during the American War, which reflects the turbulent recent history of the city. Then we visit the War Remnants Museum to understand the American War vividly from the perspective of the local people. At the end of our tour, transfer to our hotel. After check-in, we settle into our rooms to rest. We spend the night at our hotel in Ho Chi Minh City.

Day 3> HO CHI MINH CITY (SAIGON) -> MEKONG DELTA -> MY THO -> HO CHI MINH > Friday, 23 April 2027 (B,L)
After breakfast at our hotel, we transfer to My Tho. We head south from Saigon to the My Tho region. Here we tour by boat along the Mekong River and see the Dragon, Unicorn, Turtle and Phoenix islands and the Rach Mieu Bridge. Our boat then takes us to Thoi Son. Also known as Unicorn Island, this is the largest island in the region, with an area of about 1,200 hectares and a length of 11 kilometers. Here we visit an orchid garden to see orchid flowers and beehives, drink honey tea and tour a local chocolate processing workshop. We then continue to the Ben Tre region, where we visit a coconut candy workshop and tour along the village road by tuk tuk. We stop at a farmhouse to taste fresh tropical fruits and listen to traditional music performed by local people. Then we proceed along a natural canal in a small rowing boat (sampan) and experience the peaceful atmosphere of the countryside. For lunch, we go to a local restaurant and taste dishes specific to the Mekong Delta. After the tour, we return to Ho Chi Minh City. We spend the night at our hotel in Ho Chi Minh City.
Day 4 > HO CHI MINH -> SIEM REAP> Saturday, 24 April 2027 > (B)

Day 5 > SIEM REAP-> ANGKOR WAT-> ANGKOR THOM -> TA PROHM -> SIEM REAP > Sunday, 25 April 2027 > (B,L,D)
After breakfast at the hotel, we devote our day to exploring the most important temples of the Angkor region. First we visit Angkor Wat, the most famous and best-preserved structure of the Angkor complex. With its massive three-tiered structure and five towers rising 65 meters above the ground, resembling lotus flowers, Angkor Wat is one of the most impressive examples of Khmer architecture. Then we move on to the walled Angkor Thom Ancient City, built as the last capital of the Great Khmer Empire during the reign of King Jayavarman VII. Here we see the main structures of this magnificent 12th-century settlement: the Bayon Temple, Baphuon Temple, Royal Enclosure, Terrace of the Elephants and Terrace of the Leper King. After free time for lunch, we visit the Ta Prohm Temple. Unlike other Angkor temples, Ta Prohm has largely retained its appearance from when it was rediscovered; with its giant tree roots rising among the ruins, its impressive atmosphere and photogenic look, it is one of the most special structures in the region. After our visit, we return to our hotel in the afternoon. Free time for the rest of the day.
This evening, we enjoy dinner accompanied by a traditional Apsara dance performance. We spend the night at our hotel in Siem Reap.

Note:
When visiting the Angkor Temples, it is mandatory to wear long trousers covering the knees and a top covering the shoulders. Entry to the temple area is not permitted in short skirts, mini shorts, strappy tops or clothing that exposes the body. Visitors not dressed appropriately may be refused entry by the authorities.

Day 6 > SIEM REAP -> CHONG KNEAS FLOATING VILLAGE -> HANOI > Monday, 26 April 2027 > (B)
After breakfast at the hotel, we head to the Chong Kneas Floating Village on the shore of Tonle Sap Lake. This settlement consists of houses raised on stilts, and the appearance of the structures changes according to the season and water level. In some periods the houses rise about 10 meters above the water, while when the water level rises they give the impression of floating on the lake. During our boat trip, we have the chance to closely observe the daily life of the local people, Cambodian rural culture and traditional family life. After free time for lunch, at the time set by our guide we transfer to Siem Reap Airport. After our ticket, baggage and passport procedures, we depart for Hanoi with Vietnam Airlines flight VN 836 at 18:05. Upon arrival in Hanoi at 19:50 local time, we transfer to our hotel in the city center. We spend the night at our hotel in Hanoi.

Note:
From February to August/September, the water level of Tonle Sap Lake is very low. The lake is muddy and boats may get stuck. If guests still wish to take a boat tour on the lake, we will visit the Chong Kneas floating village instead of Kompong Phluk, where boat tour conditions are somewhat better.

Day 7 > HANOI -> HA LONG BAY > Tuesday, 27 April 2027 > (B,L,D)
After breakfast at our hotel in the morning, we leave Hanoi and travel along the Red River Delta toward Ha Long Bay. We reach the coast shortly before noon and settle onto our traditionally designed boat for the overnight boat tour among the legendary landscapes of Ha Long Bay.
Depending on the chosen boat route, we explore either Ha Long, Lan Ha or Bai Tu Long bay. All these areas are within the Ha Long Bay ecosystem. After settling onto the boat, we have lunch consisting mainly of seafood, accompanied by views of the impressive limestone formations surrounding us. In the afternoon we reach one of the calmer and less visited areas of the bay and have free time to rest. The program may vary according to season, weather and sea conditions, but during our two-day boat tour there will be opportunities for a cave visit, exploration of a floating village or a kayaking activity. At the end of the day we watch the sunset over the bay from the boat's sun deck. Before dinner we may have aperitifs or join a cooking demonstration if one is arranged. After dinner, we spend the night in our comfortable cabins with private bathrooms on our boat in Ha Long Bay.
Notes:
The boat route and program may change depending on weather conditions, tidal conditions and operational reasons. Swimming and kayaking activities may be cancelled in adverse weather.

Day 8 > HA LONG BAY-> HANOI > Wednesday, 28 April 2027 > (B)
For early risers, the day begins with a Tai Chi session as the sun rises and lights up the surrounding seascape, accompanied by tea and coffee service. Then we continue exploring the bay. Back on the boat, we complete our check-out from the cabins and enjoy a light late breakfast as we sail toward the pier. We disembark and transfer to Hanoi. We spend the night in Hanoi.

Day 9 > HANOI > Thursday, 29 April 2027 > (B,L)
After breakfast at our hotel, we complete our check-out and go to the Ethnology Museum, which provides comprehensive information about the country's ethnic groups, traditions and ways of life. The most striking part of the museum is the large and beautiful open-air area where authentic houses and settlements built and used by different ethnic groups are displayed. Then we visit the Temple of Literature, dedicated to Confucius and built in the 11th century. Students still come to this structure, Vietnam's first university, to burn incense. We encounter a peaceful atmosphere with incense smoke spreading, fish and turtles living in the lotus ponds located below ground level. After lunch we go to the Ho Chi Minh Complex. Here we see the impressive mausoleum from the outside only and enjoy a pleasant walk through the lush gardens of the Presidential Palace. In these gardens are the One Pillar Pagoda and Ho Chi Minh's Stilt House. Then we leave this green oasis and transfer to the Old Quarter, the bustling heart of Hanoi. In this area, where master craftsmen migrated and settled, craft guilds were established along the famous "36 Streets". In the past each street took the name of the products made and sold there, and many of these names are still used today. Offering shopping opportunities alongside cultural and historical sites, this area is one of the places that must be seen to experience Hanoi. The Hoan Kiem Lake, located in the heart of the city, is a historic area and one of Hanoi's symbols. On a small island in the middle of the lake stands the Turtle Tower, which offers a beautiful view. On the larger island is the Ngoc Son Temple, reached via the symbolic red wooden bridge. Late in the afternoon we watch a water puppet show, a Vietnamese art form whose history dates back to the 11th century and which was first performed in rice paddies. In the evening we have our farewell dinner at a local restaurant, where we can share the good memories collected during the tour. We spend the night at our hotel in Hanoi.

Day 10 > HANOI Q ISTANBUL > Friday, 30 April 2027 (B)

After our ticket, baggage and passport procedures, we fly to Doha with Qatar Airways flight QR975 at 09:20.
